David Kindness, CPA

David is a CPA (Certified Public Accountant), photographer, videographer, and designer living in San Diego, California.

David has been a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) for the last 8 years, earning his certification in California after graduating from Point Loma Nazarene University in 2016. Since then, he has worked as a tax expert, senior accountant, and internationally recognized financial writer and editor. His clients include some of the largest financial publications on earth: Investopedia, The Balance, OnPay, Eleven Writing, Techopedia, Expert Market, and more. During his photo and video career, David has produced captivating imagery for a variety of brands. His largest projects have encompassed several months, spanning multiple shoot locations, sets, models, props, studios, and recording types (photo and video). He has also traveled to a number of countries for photo and video work. In total, David has visited 30 countries so far, and plans to continue seeing more. He has also hand-designed and sourced various articles of clothing, which are for sale on his website, type1wild.com. David is still creating work for clients, and his largest projects are upcoming. David founded Your Creative CPA in 2024 to bridge the gap between his extensive financial expertise and his successful career as a creative. His goal is to help other creatives grow their businesses, manage taxes, track accounting, invest for retirement, and achieve financial success.
